Data is Everywhere. Learn how to smartly use it!

The Internet of Things (IoT) is driving a Big Data explosion. Creating intelligence and decisions from that mountain of data is challenging everyone.

More than 3 billion people have smart devices, which interact with websites and Cloud apps that send and receive data on the Internet.

IBM and Technovation invite high school students to a one-day workshop where you’ll learn the components necessary to build a cool (and shall we say rockin’) app in the Cloud, with any level of coding experience. We’ll show you how to build a quick sample app and challenge you to build anything you can dream of. Don’t forget to bring your imagination!

Join us to show off your rockin skills to your friends!

technovation aims to inspire young women to pursue a career in technology and innovation through a mobile app competition and supportive mentoring relationship. Participants, ages 10-18, create teams of 3-5 members to work through technovation’s intensive, 3-month curriculum. Supported by a mentor who works in technology, teams imagine, design, and develop a mobile app to address a problem in their community, then pitch their “startup” business to judges. Since 2009, nearly 3,000 young women from 28 countries have created mobile apps through technovation.
